After the Large Hadron Super Collider was in the front page of every news source a couple of days back, I still don't quite understand what its significance was. The talks about quarks, guons and Higgs particles it makes it more confusing. The lecturer, Brian Cox, so beautifully explained what the supercollider does and what its purposes are.
